Smash Tacos Recipe

Ingredients:

• 250g (½ lb) ground beef

• ½ teaspoon salt

• ½ teaspoon black pepper

• ½ teaspoon garlic powder

• ½ teaspoon paprika

• 4 small tortillas

• ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

• 1 tablespoon butter or oil

• ½ cup shredded lettuce

• ½ cup diced tomatoes

• ¼ cup diced red onion

• ¼ cup sour cream (optional)

• 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions:

1. Season the Meat: In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2. Form Patties: Divide the meat into 4 small balls. Flatten each one onto a tortilla, pressing down so it sticks.

3. Cook the Tacos: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter or oil, then place the tortillas meat-side down. Press gently with a spatula and cook for about 3-4 minutes until the meat is browned and crispy.

4. Flip & Add Cheese: Flip the tacos so the tortilla side is down. Sprinkle cheese on top of the cooked meat and let it melt for 1-2 minutes.

5. Assemble & Serve: Remove from the pan, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, sour cream, and cilantro if desired.

6. Enjoy! Serve warm with lime wedges or your favorite taco sauce.
