Kinder Bueno Yule Log – Ultimate Christmas Treat
Ingredients:
For the sponge cake:
- 4 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
For the Kinder Bueno cream: - 200 g Kinder Bueno chocolate
- 400 ml full-fat liquid cream
- 50 g icing sugar
For the decoration: - Kinder Bueno
- Melted chocolate
- Crushed hazelnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a rectangular mold with baking paper.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture whitens and doubles in volume.
- Add the sifted flour and yeast, mix gently.
- Pour the dough into the mold and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.
- For the cream, melt the Kinder Bueno chocolate in a bain-marie. Let cool.
- In another bowl, whip the very cold liquid cream with the icing sugar until you obtain a firm whipped cream.
- Gently incorporate the melted chocolate into the whipped cream.
- Spread the cream on the cooled sponge cake, roll gently to form the log.
- Cover the log with melted chocolate, decorate with pieces of Kinder Bueno and crushed hazelnuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
