1/2 cup jarred pesto
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with foil.
Using a serrated knife, make crosshatch cuts into the loaf of bread, creating 1-inch squares without cutting all the way through the bottom.
Gently spread the jarred pesto into the cuts, ensuring it gets between all the pieces.
Stuff shredded mozzarella cheese into the cuts, distributing it evenly throughout the bread.
Place the bread on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if using.
Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is golden.
