Walnut and Honey Cake

Ingredients :

200 gm of flour
150 g of powdered sugar
3 eggs
150 g of melted butter
100 g of chopped walnuts
100 g of honey
1 sachet of chemical yeast (approx. 11 g)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder (optional)
1 pinch of salt
Preparation:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large bowl, beat eggs with sugar until the mixture becomes foamy and clear.
Add the melted butter and honey, then mix well to achieve a homogeneous preparation.
In another bowl, mix flour, chemical yeast, cinnamon (if using) and a pinch of salt.
Gradually incorporate the flour mixture with the egg mixture and mix until you get a smooth dough.
Add the chopped nuts and mix gently to distribute them evenly in the batter.
Pour the batter into a cake mold that you have previously buttered and flourished.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpaste inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the mold for 10 minutes, then mold it on a grill to cool completely.
(Optional) For an extra sweet touch, sprinkle the cake with hot honey fillet just before serving.
Serve it nature or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a scoop of fresh cream.
